I came across this recipe one day and dared myself to try it. Anyone who knows me has probably hear the list of things I refused to eat: lima beans, Brussels sprouts, organ meats and at the very top of the list, split pea soup. But I did finally make my peace with Brussels sprouts (I LOVE them oven-roasted with olive oil and garlic) and so when I found this split pea soup recipe, I decided to be brave and give it a shot.
